#SolarChat was started in November 2011 as an extension of, a solar resource company that Gina helped develop. After the explosion of interest in the highly effective and popular bi-monthly chats, which became the solar industry’s “think-tank,” EcoOutfitters redirected its business efforts and leveraged the SolarChat brand, launching a separate company. Gina also helped guide the SolarChat team with its innovative solar media  community development, special projects (including Women4Solar, an organization founded by women in the solar industry dedicated to putting the power of female networking and sharing to work for solar growth), etc.
